OUR SERVICES AT A GLANCE:

At Metro Behavioral Health Associates, we offer a spectrum of options for the treatment of all forms of eating disorders. Here’s just a quick summary.</p

TREATMENT

  • INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY PSYCHOTHERAPY
Focused, tailored individual and/or family therapy specific to each individual’s needs.
  • NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING AND EDUCATION
Careful assessment of one’s relationship to food through review of food intake patterns,
triggers and life style needs. Judgment-free, non-diet nutritional coaching and support.
  • ON- AND OFF-SITE SUPERVISED MEALS
With meal support and coaching in any setting to normalize the experience.
  • WEEKLY TREATMENT/SUPPORT GROUPS
For a variety of ages from adolescent to adults to battle negative body image, anxiety,
compulsive behaviors/thoughts and to offer alternate coping skills through DBT and CBT
    techniques.
  • CREATIVE ARTS THERAPY
Both one-on-one and/or in a group setting, art therapy expresses and releases thoughts
and feelings in ways that bypass one’s tendencies to intellectualize and use just one’s
thoughts. No artistic talent or history is ever needed.
  • HYPNOSIS
Includes anxiety relief, smoking cessation and help with addictive behaviors.
  • INDIVIDUALIZED INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM
Uniquely designed for each individual’s needs. May include daily guided and supported
meals either on site, at our center or at one’s home, school or place of business; twice per
week specifically targeted individual therapy (or only one per week if you already see your
own therapist); art therapy; one-on-one hypnosis and meditation; weekly nutritional
counseling and coaching; a weekly skills group; targeted family support, therapy and
education; and collaboration with nearby medical or psychiatric services specifically
targeted to eating disorder treatment as needed.
  • ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE
Assessment and treatment with placement in 12 step and higher levels of care if
    needed.
